Supermarket Procurement Co-op Topco Associates Seeks New License

Topco Associates LLC d/b/a TopSource LLC has re-applied for an Illinois electric agent, broker, and consultant license. As only reported by Matters, TopSource had applied for an Illinois ABC license last year, but withdrew the application without prejudice. TopSource is the not-for-resale procurement arm of grocer cooperative Topco Associates LLC, and is in the process of expanding into the procurement of competitive electricity in several states. Members of Topco Associates with Illinois operations include Hy-Vee, Meijer, Piggly Wiggly Midwest LLC, Roundy's Supermarkets Inc. (Mariano's Fresh Market), Schnuck Markets Inc., and distributors Affiliated Foods Midwest, Amber Pharmacy, Certco Inc., Laurel Grocery Company.

EnerNOC Seeks Broker Licenses in Multiple States

EnerNOC, Inc. applied for a District of Columbia electric broker license to serve commercial and industrial customers. EnerNOC said that it is also actively seeking licensure as an aggregator/broker in Rhode Island and Oregon.
