AEP Retail Energy has begun offering service to residential customers at Cleveland Electric Illuminating, Ohio Edison, and Toledo Edison.

Specifically, AEP Retail Energy is offering residential customers at the FirstEnergy electric distribution companies a 24-month fixed rate of 5.69 cents per kWh.

The product includes an early termination fee of $100.

AEP Retail Energy is now offering residential service in all Ohio territories open to customer choice, having previously entered the residential market at Ohio Power, the former Columbus Southern Power, Duke Energy Ohio, and Dayton Power & Light.

As first reported by Matters, DP&L Energy began offering residential electric service at the FirstEnergy electric distribution companies in March, while Duke Energy Ohio and Constellation Energy have also entered the territory in the past nine months (see prior story). Prior to this, FirstEnergy Solutions had been the only active supplier serving non-aggregation residential customers at Cleveland Electric Illuminating, Ohio Edison, and Toledo Edison
