BlueStar Energy Services Expanding to Natural Gas

BlueStar Energy Services, Inc. d/b/a BlueStar Energy Solutions is expanding to retail natural gas service.

Specifically, BlueStar Energy Services applied for an Ohio natural gas supplier license to serve all customer classes in all service areas.

It is believed to be BlueStar Energy Services' first natural gas supplier license application (applications are not publicly docketed in all states, but to date BlueStar has not received a gas supplier license in any jurisdiction, and did not cite any pending applications).

BlueStar Energy Services is a licensed retail electric supplier in the District of Columbia, Delaware, Illinois, Massachusetts, Maryland, Michigan, New Jersey, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, and Texas. Of these states, BlueStar is not yet active in Massachusetts, Michigan, New York or Texas.

BlueStar Energy Services was recently acquired by AEP Retail Energy.
