PPL Continues to See Growth in Residential Customers on Competitive Supply

Residential migration to competitive electric supply at PPL has now increased for four consecutive weeks, according to the latest stats from the Pennsylvania PUC.

From May 27 to June 2 (including the non-business day holiday), PPL saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply increase by 731 accounts, its fourth consecutive week of increased residential migration. In the immediately prior week, PPL had seen residential shopping increase by 347 accounts.
From May 30 to June 5, PECO saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply grow by 1,400 accounts, versus the week-ago growth of 1,300 accounts.
At Met-Ed, the weekly growth in the number of residential customers on competitive supply for the most recent week was 1,600 accounts, about even with the week-ago growth.
At Penelec, the weekly growth in the number of residential customers on competitive supply for the most recent week was 300 accounts, versus the growth of 600 accounts in the immediately prior week.
At West Penn Power, the weekly growth in the number of residential customers on competitive supply for the most recent week was 350 accounts, versus the growth of 450 accounts in the immediately prior week.
For the most recent week, Duquesne Light saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply increase by 1,200 accounts, versus the week-ago growth of 800 accounts.
