Chicago City Council Places Opt-Out Aggregation Measure on Ballot

In what was a foregone conclusion after a committee vote, the Chicago City Council today formally approved a November ballot question asking voters to approve an opt-out municipal electric aggregation program for the city.


ERCOT Accepting Technical Questions on Brattle Report

ERCOT will accept through July 6 technical questions from Market Participants related to the Brattle Group resource adequacy report (see prior story). ERCOT is accepting technical questions because, since the report's release, "Market Participants have also indicated that they have technical questions on the underlying methodologies, assumptions and calculations used in The Brattle Group report." ERCOT will compile all technical questions and respond in advance of the PUCT workshop in Project No. 40480 which is currently scheduled for July 27, 2012. Market Participants should not submit policy questions for The Brattle Group through this process, ERCOT said. ERCOT said that the PUCT will issue a separate notice on the workshop for handling those questions.


Acclaim Energy Advisors Names Jessica Brown National Account Manager

Acclaim Energy Advisors has named Jessica Brown as National Account Manager for the Commercial and Industrial sectors of the company. Previously, Brown worked in global supply chain management for Seagate Technology managing the Dell Desktop account. In addition, Brown managed key accounts for Macy's and served as supply chain analyst for Applied Materials.
