FirstEnergy Solutions has launched residential service at Ameren Illinois.

Specifically, FirstEnergy Solutions is offering Ameren Illinois residential customers a product with a rate of 2.60¢/kWh through October 2012, and then a rate of 5.20¢/kWh through June 2014.

These FirstEnergy Solutions residential rates are available in all three Ameren rate zones.

An early termination fee of $150 applies.

FirstEnergy Solutions is marketing the product as giving customers a 50% discount off their otherwise applicable FES fixed rate for the initial months of the product (during the summer when usage is higher), through October 2012.

FirstEnergy Solutions has also launched similar products with a 50% discount, through October 2012, off the otherwise applicable FES fixed rate at many of its existing residential markets, including Duquesne Light, Penn Power, Met-Ed, PECO, Penelec, West Penn Power, Potomac Edison, Duke Energy Ohio, and Dayton Power & Light.

The PECO offer was first reported by Matters earlier this week, as FirstEnergy Solutions launched service in that territory.

FirstEnergy Solutions has also refreshed its residential offers at ComEd. Among the new ComEd offers is a guaranteed 15% discount off ComEd's electric generation rate until September 2013, branded as the PercentPromise program.

Additionally, FirstEnergy Solutions is offering ComEd residential customers a fixed rate of 5.70¢/kWh through June 2014

FirstEnergy Solutions is also offering ComEd residential customers a rate of 5.55¢/kWh through December 2012, then 5.85¢/kWh through June 2014.
