Discount Power, a retail electric supplier active in Connecticut, has notified the Connecticut PURA of its intent to use two trade names to market new, distinct products.

"In order to limit the confusion for consumers, Discount Power is seeking to establish two divisions that will operate as d/b/a's. One is for our renewable offerings that are in excess of the State required minimum and the other is for a charity program we intend to establish," Discount Power informed PURA.

Discount Power intends to operate its renewable division under the trade name of "Consumers Green Power."

The charitable division will operate under the trade name "Charity Electric."

"Discount Power's intention is to post rates and market these two programs under the d/b/a so as to limit any confusion associated with multiple offerings and posted listings on CT Energy Info for CT consumers," the company said.
