American Power Partners LLC's recent acquisition of U.S. Energy Partners LLC has transformed the company into a "super-regional" electric service provider, serving customers in three states and behind nine utilities, President and CEO Robert J. Kreppel said.
Matters first reported in June that privately held American Power Partners LLC acquired U.S. Energy Partners LLC from Windstream Corporation. Specifically, American Power Partners LLC acquired all of the equity of U.S. Energy Partners LLC, and U.S. Energy Partners is now a wholly owned subsidiary of American Power Partners LLC.
American Power Partners LLC and U.S. Energy Partners LLC, combined, serve over 10,000 industrial, commercial and residential customers in three states, with annual revenues in excess of $50 million.
U.S. Energy Partners LLC serves customers in New York and Pennsylvania, with an extensive presence in New York State stretching from New York City to Buffalo.
American Power Partners LLC serves customers in Maryland and Pennsylvania.
"This extensive reach will position the company to offer a broad range of competitively priced electric service and renewable energy options for its customers," Kreppel said.
Kreppel said that immediate attention would focus on building out the supplier's presence in the New York City and Pennsylvania electric markets.
In Pennsylvania, American Power Partners LLC had previously entered the PECO, PPL and Duquesne Light mass market. U.S. Energy Partners LLC has a modest Pennsylvania presence consisting of serving non-residential customers.
