New Jersey Continues Consistent Growth in Residential Electric Shopping

The growth in the number of residential electric customers on competitive supply in New Jersey during June was about even with the May growth, as consistent month-over-month growth was seen for a third consecutive month.

From the end of May to the end of June, Public Service Electric & Gas saw the number of residential electric customers on competitive supply increase by 7,700 accounts; down marginally but still in line with the May growth of 8,900 accounts.
From the end of May to the end of June, Jersey Central Power & Light saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply increase by 6,000 accounts, about even with the month-ago growth.
Atlantic City Electric saw residential migration to competitive supply grow by 2,800 accounts during June, essentially the same as the May growth.
Rockland Electric saw residential migration growth of 230 accounts during June, versus growth of 240 accounts in May.
As a percent of residential accounts, migration to competitive electric supply in New Jersey as of June 30 is:
Atlantic City Electric: 16.1%
Jersey Central Power & Light: 16.4%
Public Service Electric & Gas: 11.8%
Rockland Electric: 8.4%
