WGES Launches Direct Mail Offer for Guaranteed Savings Products in Maryland

Washington Gas Energy Services has launched a new direct mail campaign offering residential electric customers in the BGE, Pepco, and Potomac Edison territories in Maryland a guaranteed savings product.

The plans offer customers 15% (BGE) or 10% (Pepco & Potomac Edison) savings off the utility's standard offer service rates until May of 2013.

Specifically, the WGES offer for BGE Rate R customers is as follows, representing a 15% discount off the otherwise applicable BGE rate component:

WGES Summer Generation Rate: 7.487¢/kWh
WGES Winter Generation Rate: 6.762¢/kWh
WGES Transmission Rate: 0.670¢/kWh

The WGES offer for Pepco Schedule R customers is as follows, representing a 10% discount off the otherwise applicable Pepco rate component:

WGES Summer Generation Rate: 7.678¢/kWh
WGES Winter Generation Rate: 7.247¢/kWh
WGES Transmission Rate: 0.395¢/kWh

WGES also offers BGE Rate RL (Time of Use) customers a 15% discount, and Pepco Schedule R-TM (Time of Use) customers a 10% discount, off the otherwise applicable utility generation and transmission rates through May 2013.

At BGE, WGES also offers residential customers a 50% wind product with 10% guaranteed savings through May 2013, and a 100% wind product with 5% guaranteed savings through May 2013.

At Pepco and Potomac Edison, WGES also offers residential customers a 50% wind product with 5% guaranteed savings through May 2013.

All of the products include an early termination fee equal to the greater of $150 or $20 per month for each month remaining in contract term. Additionally, the termination fee for products with 50% or more wind includes an additional $50.
