PECO, PPL See Large Jumps in Weekly Residential Shopping Growth

PECO and PPL both saw large jumps in the weekly growth of the number of residential electric customers on competitive supply during the most recent week, while growth at Penelec slowed dramatically, according to the latest stats from the Pennsylvania PUC.

From July 18 to July 24, PECO saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply grow by 3,600 accounts, more than double the week-ago growth of 1,550 accounts.

From July 15 to July 21, PPL saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply increase by 1,700 accounts, more than double the week-ago growth of 759 accounts.

From July 19 to July 25, Penelec saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply grow by 152 accounts, down significantly from the week-ago growth of 1,300.

From July 19 to July 25, West Penn Power saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply grow by 2,500 accounts, up significantly from the week-ago growth of 1,800.

From July 19 to July 25, Met-Ed saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply grow by 540 accounts, versus the week-ago growth of 920.

From July 19 to July 25, Penn Power saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply decrease by 17 accounts, versus the week-ago growth of 16 accounts.

From July 15 to July 21, Duquesne Light saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply grow by 930 accounts, versus the week-ago growth of 1,300.
