Broker-Consultant 5 Signs Over 150 Clients Since Recent Launch

Broker-consultant 5 announced that in its initial months of operations in Texas, it has signed over 150 clients. In particular, 5 said that it has been selected by 14 cities and other governmental entities to provide electricity risk management services. 5 also announced that Jon Moore, originally a financial partner and strategic advisor to 5, has assumed a full-time position at 5 effective July 1st. Moore was previously part of the senior management team of an energy focused private equity firm. For the near term, Moore will remain in the Washington, D.C. area and will spearhead the expansion of 5's business into other deregulated markets. Usource Expands N.H. BIA Marketing Partnership to Small Volume Customers

Usource has entered into an expanded marketing partnership with the New Hampshire Business and Industry Association (BIA). For the past seven years, Usource has partnered with BIA to help larger businesses save money by negotiating with electricity suppliers for lower rates. Through this new agreement, smaller businesses participating through Chamber of Commerce programs will also enjoy this benefit. Starting in August, Usource will offer BIA and participating state chamber members the opportunity to join aggregated buying groups to save money on electricity costs.

Liberty Power Names Leah Lopez to Lead Consolidated Sales Team

Liberty Power announced that it has consolidated the sales leadership of the company under the direction of Leah Lopez, Executive Vice President, Sales. The sales organization was previously organized into two primary divisions: Mass Market, and Commercial & Industrial. Lopez will be responsible for directing Liberty Power's sales strategy and driving the achievement of the company's growth objectives. Lopez has been a member of the Liberty Power senior management team for the last 8 years. Before joining Liberty Power, Lopez spent 12 years in leadership roles in the telecom industry.

Morin Named VP of Business Development at Tangent Energy Solutions

Tangent Energy Solutions, Inc. has named Rob Morin as Vice President of Business Development. Morin's primary responsibility is improving the energy economics of large commercial and industrial customers by implementing comprehensive energy services solutions that integrate on-site generation, peak management strategies, and energy market participation. Following a 20-year career with General Electric Corporation, Morin most recently was Vice President of Sales at Energy Conversion Devices, where he led the eastern region sales.
