The Illinois Commerce Commission has posted detailed migration statistics, by customer class, as of July 31, 2012.
Last week, Matters had reported excerpted residential migration data that had been posted by the ICC apart from the now-updated detailed reports.
As previously reported, ComEd saw the number of residential customers billed on competitive supply increase by nearly 100,000 during July, while Ameren saw growth of 126,000 residential shoppers (aggregate of all zones).
The newly updated stats also show the percent of residential accounts migrated as of July 31, 2012, which is as follows:
ComEd: 15.52%
Ameren Rate Zone I (CIPS): 17.15%
Ameren Rate Zone II, (CILCO): 61.37%
Ameren Rate Zone III, (IP): 19.14%
The ICC migration statistics list customers who have switched to a competitive supplier and have completed at least one billing cycle on competitive supply. Accordingly, the data lags completed enrollments
As previously noted, the large increase in residential migration during July results from municipal aggregations beginning service.
Migration to competitive supply in the ComEd <100 kW commercial class increased by 3,700 accounts during July, up from the June growth of 2,300 accounts.
Illinois Migration as of June 30, 2012:
Ameren Rate Zone I (AmerenCIPS)
Ameren Rate Zone II (AmerenCILCO)
Ameren Rate Zone III (AmerenIP)
Data for MidAmerican and Mt. Carmel has also been updated on the ICC's website.
