Over the past two weeks, PECO has seen a sharp decline in the growth of the number of residential customers on competitive electric supply, according to the September 12 migration data from the Pennsylvania PUC.

From September 5 to September 11, PECO saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply grow by only 194 accounts. This follows growth in residential shopping of only 515 accounts from August 29 to September 4.
While no doubt at least one of the weeks in this two-week period was negatively impacted by the non-business day Labor Day holiday, on which enrollments to competitive suppliers are not completed, the fall in the net growth of residential shoppers to less than 200 per week is, at the very least, eye-catching, given that PECO's weekly residential shopping growth had been as high as 3,000 per week in early August.
Elsewhere, PPL reported having 505,294 residential customers taking competitive supply as of September 8. A comparison to the week-ago total is not available since PPL stats were not updated in the PUC's week-ago September 5 migration report, but for the two-week period from August 26 to September 8, PPL has seen the number of residential customers on competitive supply increase by 1,185 accounts.
From September 6 to September 12, West Penn Power saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply grow by nearly 1,100 accounts, versus the week-ago growth of 1,900 accounts.
From September 6 to September 12, Penelec saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply grow by 1,000 accounts, versus the week-ago growth of 1,400 accounts.
From September 6 to September 12, Met-Ed saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply grow by 650 accounts, versus the week-ago growth of 800 accounts.
From September 6 to September 12, Penn Power saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply increase by 64 accounts, versus the week-ago growth of 57 accounts.
From September 2 to September 8, Duquesne Light saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply grow by nearly 1,200 accounts, versus the week-ago growth of 950 accounts.
