Residential Migration to Competitive Supply Continues at Steady Pace in New Jersey

The growth in the number of residential electric customers on competitive supply in New Jersey during August was relatively even with the July growth, according to the latest data posted on the BGS auction website.

From the end of July to the end of August, Public Service Electric & Gas saw the number of residential electric customers on competitive supply increase by 3,750 accounts, up slightly from the July growth of 3,300 accounts.
From the end of July to the end of August, Jersey Central Power & Light saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply increase by 4,300 accounts, which was about even with the July growth.
Atlantic City Electric saw residential migration to competitive supply grow by 2,200 accounts during August, up slightly from the July growth of 1,900 accounts.
Rockland Electric saw residential migration growth of 266 accounts during August, versus growth of 190 accounts in July.
As a percent of residential accounts, migration to competitive electric supply in New Jersey as of August 31 is:
Atlantic City Electric: 16.95%
Jersey Central Power & Light: 17.25%
Public Service Electric & Gas: 12.21%
Rockland Electric: 9.16%
