Measured Growth in Residential Shopping at PPL Follows Week-ago Spike

A significant spike in the growth of the number of residential customers on competitive electric supply at PPL was not repeated in the most recent week, as PPL returned to more measured growth, according to the September 26 migration data from the Pennsylvania PUC.

From September 16 to September 22, PPL saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply grow by 750 accounts, less than half of the week-ago growth of 1,900 accounts, which had been a significant spike in weekly residential migration growth.
From September 19 to September 25, PECO saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply grow by 1,250 accounts, versus the week-ago growth of 1,200 accounts.
From September 16 to September 22, Duquesne Light saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply grow by 1,100 accounts, versus the week-ago growth of 1,300 accounts.
From September 20 to September 26, West Penn Power saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply grow by 1,100 accounts, which was about even with the week-ago growth.
From September 20 to September 26, Penelec saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply grow by 1,000 accounts, versus the week-ago growth of 1,400 accounts.
From September 20 to September 26, Met-Ed saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply grow by 630 accounts, versus the week-ago growth of 1,100 accounts.
From September 20 to September 26, Penn Power saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply increase by only 18 accounts, versus the week-ago growth of 78 accounts.
