Infinite Electric to Pay $37,000 to Settle PUCT Staff Compliance Audit

Infinite Electric, L.L.C. would pay $37,000 under a settlement with Staff of the Public Utility Commission of Texas to resolve allegations that Infinite Electric was not in full compliance with 24 provisions of the Substantive Rules (40819).
The allegations resulted from a Staff compliance audit.
Specifically, Staff alleged that Infinite Electric was not in full compliance with the following:
• P.U.C. SUBST. R. 25.474(d)(5)(D) relating to enrollment via the internet. Staff alleged that not all of the prices of the product were disclosed.
• P.U.C. SUBST. R. 25.475(c)(2)(G) relating to general contracting requirements. Staff alleged that pricing was missing for certain months.
• P.U.C. SUBST. R. 25.479(c)(1)(Q) relating to bill content. Staff alleged that the variable price change notification was missing.
• P.U.C. SUBST. R. 25.475(e)(1)(C)(ii) relating to contract expiration and renewal offers. Staff alleged that "misleading" early termination-related text was included in the expiration notice.
Prior to settlement, Infinite Electric corrected all of the alleged deficiencies
