Constellation has expanded its affiliation with Best Buy to now offer residential electric supply at 13 Best Buy stores in Chicago.

Constellation and Best Buy had launched a pilot offering electric supply at a single Chicago Best Buy store earlier this year.

"Our pilot program at the Best Buy Bucktown store exceeded expectations and we're thrilled to expand to Best Buy stores across Chicago," said Michael Wajsgras, vice president of new business channel development for Constellation. "Consumer shopping for electricity is on the rise across Illinois. Our affiliation with Best Buy makes it even more convenient for homeowners to save on electricity rates and also receive a Best Buy gift card."

Customers who select a 24-month electric supply contract will receive a $50 Best Buy gift card; a $25 gift card will be provided to those who sign up for 12 months.

Constellation said customers signing up for Constellation residential electric supply could save up to 25 percent off ComEd's non-summer electric supply price to compare rate.

Using a Best Buy offer code, Constellation's residential electric rates listed on its website for the ComEd territory are as follows:

24 Months Fixed: 6.25¢/kWh

12 Month Fixed: 6.65¢/kWh

12 Months Fixed, 100% Green, 6.99¢/kWh

Each product includes a $150 early termination fee, which does not apply if service is cancelled in the first 90 days.

"Consumers are becoming more concerned about their energy consumption and are taking their first steps on their journey toward energy efficiency," said Kristen Bowring, senior director of Home Energy Management for Best Buy. "Our affiliation with Constellation offers our Best Buy customers an easy way to learn about their energy options and how they can save energy and money."
