Pennsylvania Sees Slower Residential Migration Growth During Holiday-Shortened Week

Pennsylvania utilities saw lower weekly growth in the number of residential electric customers on competitive supply during the shortened Thanksgiving holiday week, which included additional non-business days on which meters were not read, according to the November 28 migration data from the Pennsylvania PUC.

From November 21 to November 27, PECO saw the number of residential electric customers on competitive supply grow by 971 accounts, versus the week-ago growth of 2,000 accounts.

From November 18 to November 24, PPL saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply grow by 687 accounts; a week-ago comparison is not available.

From November 22 to November 28, West Penn Power saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply grow by 1,100 accounts, versus the week-ago growth of 1,900 accounts.

From November 22 to November 28, Penelec saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply grow by 933 accounts, versus the week-ago growth of 1,250 accounts.

From November 18 to November 24, Duquesne Light saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply grow by 759 accounts, versus the week-ago growth of 1,100 accounts.

From November 22 to November 28, Met-Ed saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply grow by 355 accounts, versus the week-ago growth of 700 accounts.

From November 22 to November 28, Penn Power saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply increase by 163 accounts, versus the week-ago growth of 288 accounts.
