The Public Utilities Commission of Ohio has revoked the certificate of seven retail energy suppliers and brokers for failing file an annual report for 2011.

According to PUCO's order, companies whose certificate was revoked are:

• Dynamic Energy LLC

• GearyEnergy, LLC

• J. Andrew Associates, Inc., d/b/a Seven-Utility Management Consulting, LLC

• Maneri-Agraz LLC

• Optimum Group LLC

• Peoples Power & Gas LLC

• Sustainable Star LLC

Each company listed above, "must now immediately cease providing regulated service in the state of Ohio, and notify any Ohio jurisdictional customers that it is no longer operating in Ohio. Any company that continues to provide regulated service after the cancellation of its certificate and tariff may be subject to a more severe penalty," PUCO said.

Additionally, a half a dozen more suppliers and brokers have not yet paid their assessment for 2012. Such suppliers, listed on Attachment B of PUCO's order (click here, page 10), were provided until December 31, 2012, to show cause why their certificate or operating authority should not be revoked for failure to pay the assessed amount.
