Reliant Expands Physical Locations with Cricket, Best Buy Stores

Reliant is now marketing electricity plans at Cricket Wireless retail storefronts, and has also expanded the number of Best Buy locations where Reliant service is offered.

In the Houston and the South Texas area, customers can now sign up for a Reliant electricity plan and pay their bill at nearly 40 Cricket locations, including at Cricket corporate locations and authorized retailers Optimal Wireless LLC and Master MobileLink LLC. At launch, Reliant was offering customers signing up at Cricket locations $100-200 Visa gift cards, depending on electricity plan.

Additionally, Reliant now offers service through three Dallas-area Best Buy stores -- Mesquite, Arlington and Lewisville. Reliant had previously begun offering service at Best Buy's Willowbrook store in Houston (see prior story). Reliant offers Best Buy gift cards in conjunction with the plans marketed at Best Buy.

As previously reported by Matters, Reliant has called physical retail establishments a great growth opportunity, with other locations including the 99 Ranch Market and Comcast storefronts (see prior story for more)

Separately, Reliant is also including a $200 Target gift card with several of its Texas residential plans offered through the Reliant website, one of the larger enrollment bonuses in the market.
