The District of Columbia PSC has issued show cause orders to four retail energy suppliers directing each supplier to show why its license should not be suspended or revoked.

The PSC issued the show cause orders after stating that each of the suppliers has failed to pay its 2012 assessment for the Commission and Office of People's Counsel.

Specifically, the PSC issued show cause orders to the following suppliers:

• Blue Star Energy Services

• Gateway Energy Services Corporation

• NOVEC Energy Solutions

• Tiger Natural Gas

Matters would note that a PSC filing indicates that Blue Star paid the assessment related to the OPC on August 16, prior to the September 14 deadline.

In lieu of submission of a response to the show cause order, the PSC directed that each supplier may submit payment in accordance with the Commission's previous orders directing payment.
