Retail Supplier Perigee Energy Seeks License in New State, Identifies Additional Future Markets

Perigee Energy, LLC has applied for a Pennsylvania electric supplier license to serve all customer classes in all service areas.

Additionally, Perigee Energy stated that it has, "future plans to enter the Illinois and Maryland markets in 2013."

As previously reported, Perigee Energy is currently licensed to supply electricity and natural gas in New York and electricity in Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Ohio.

Start-up Perigee Energy is a wholly owned subsidiary of Apogee Holdings, LLC. Apogee Holdings, LLC is owned by three individuals, namely, David B. Geyer, Scott M. Childs, and Steven D. Guy. Perigee Energy's website states that service is currently available at Consolidated Edison, Orange & Rockland, Connecticut Light & Power, and United Illuminating. To the extent this includes residential service, pricing was not available on Perigee's website or on NY Power to Choose/CT Energy Info. Perigee Energy had zero customers in Connecticut as of November 30, 2012, according to the December migration reports from CL&P and UI, indicating any Connecticut service currently flowing to meters began in December.
