Aequitas Energy, Inc. Preparing to Launch Retail Service

Aequitas Energy, Inc. may begin offering retail electric service in Connecticut by the end of the month, according to a public filing.
Specifically, Aequitas Energy has filed with the Connecticut PURA its first price disclosure form, which includes two offers, each with a listed effective date of January 25, 2013.
The two offers are each fixed rates through December 31, 2013, one for customers at Connecticut Light and Power, and one for customers at United Illuminating.
Both fixed offers are for the same price, 7.39 cents per kWh.
Per the price reporting form, the offers are for residential customers as well as certain small to mid-sized non-residential customers (Rates 30 and 35 at CL&P and Rates GS, GST, and M at UI)
