Illinois Opens Proceedings to Suspend Licenses of 10 Brokers

The Illinois Commerce Commission has issued orders initiating proceedings to determine whether the Commission should suspend the agent, broker, and consultant licenses of 10 brokers for allegedly failing to file their 2011 reports by March 31, 2012.

Specifically, the ICC has initiated proceedings to determine whether it should suspend the ABC licenses of:

• Aurora Energy

• CRM Marketing Group, Inc. (Energy Choice Center)

• Ecologistics, LLC

• Energy Cost Certainty LLC

• FS Energy, LLC

• GSE Consulting, LP

• Prenova, Inc.

• Real Energy Solutions LLC

• U.S. Sun Energy, Inc.

• Viking Energy Management, LLC Update: Viking Energy Management was acquired by NUS Consulting in 2011. NUS Consulting is up to date on its Illinois reporting obligations, and had intended to operate solely under the NUS license and cease activity under the Viking license. NUS said it would be following up with the ICC to address this matter

In each case, the ICC ordered each company to appear at the offices of the Commission at the time and date specified by an Administrative Law Judge to adduce evidence whether respondent has failed to file its Compliance Recertification Report for 2011 by March 31, 2012, as required by 83 Ill. Adm. Code 454.110 and to show cause why the Commission should not suspend any license granted to the respondent pursuant to 83 Ill. Adm. Code 454.149.
