PSE&G Sees Huge Jump in Residential Shopping Growth

Public Service Electric and Gas saw a large jump in the growth rate of the number of residential natural gas customers on competitive supply during November, compared to the October growth, according to the latest stats from the New Jersey BPU.
The New Jersey BPU has posted natural gas migration data, including accounts and load migrated, as of November 2012.
Matters has also developed a comparison of accounts migrated in November 2012 versus October 2012.

From October 2012 to November 2012, Public Service Electric and Gas saw the number of residential gas customers on competitive supply increase by 10,000 accounts, up significantly from growth of 1,800 accounts during October.
From October 2012 to November 2012, New Jersey Natural Gas saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply increase by 816 accounts, down from the October growth of 2,800 accounts.
From October 2012 to November 2012, South Jersey Gas saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply increase by 1,750 accounts, up from the October growth of 1,200 accounts.
Elizabethtown Gas saw the number of residential customers on competitive supply increase by 98 from October 2012 to November 2012, versus the month-ago increase of 92 accounts.
As a percent of residential accounts, current migration to competitive gas supply in New Jersey is:
Elizabethtown Gas: 1.65%
New Jersey Natural Gas: 10.36%
PSE&G: 8.25%
South Jersey Gas: 12.04%
