Perigee Energy, LLC Launches Residential Service in New State

Start-up Perigee Energy, LLC has launched retail electric service in a new state.
Specifically, Perigee Energy, LLC is now offering residential electric supply at United Illuminating in Connecticut.
Though Perigee Energy has been preparing its Connecticut launch for some time, the offers have only recently become available on Perigee Energy's website, and Perigee Energy was not serving any customers in Connecticut as of December 31, 2012.
Perigee Energy is offering Rate R customers at UI a 12-month fixed rate of 7.8¢/kWh and a 24-month fixed rate of 7.9¢/kWh.
An early termination fee of the greater of $100 or $10 per month remaining on the contract applies to each of the fixed products.
A variable product with a price cap is also offered to residential customers at UI, and is currently priced at 7.5¢/kWh. The variable rate is capped at 8.5¢/kWh for 12 months. An early termination fee of the greater of $100 or $10 per month remaining on the contract applies to the 12-month variable product.
Commercial service is also available.
Start-up Perigee Energy is a wholly owned subsidiary of Apogee Holdings, LLC. Apogee Holdings, LLC is owned by three individuals, namely, David B. Geyer, Scott M. Childs, and Steven D. Guy.
