TXU Energy Distributing $36 Million in Cash-Back Rewards

TXU Energy announced today that its cash back loyalty reward program will distribute more than $36 million to residential and business customers on qualifying plans.

Customers on cash-back plans in 2012 will receive as much as 3% or more cash back in the form of a Visa prepaid card.

A year ago, TXU launched additional cash-back plans which pay a higher percentage, up to 5%, for remaining with TXU for a longer period (click for prior story). TXU also extended its cash-back products to business customers in 2012.

"Plans tied to our cash back loyalty reward program continue to be among our most popular," said Michael Grasso, chief marketing officer, TXU Energy. "Hundreds of thousands of customers enjoy these plans each year because they appreciate how simple it is to earn and to spend their rewards for doing something they’re already doing—using electricity in their homes or businesses."

The TXU Energy Cash Back Loyalty Reward program has paid out over $136 million since the first payout in 2008.
