Verde Energy Confirms Acquiring Customers from Retail Supplier at UI

Verde Energy confirmed to Matters that it has acquired Reliable Power, LLC's customers at United Illuminating.
As first reported by Matters, Connecticut Light & Power had informed PURA that Reliable Power LLC's customers at CL&P were being transferred to Verde, but at that time the disposition of Reliable Power's customers at UI was not clear.
According to statistics filed with PURA, Reliable Power was serving 3,800 customers at CL&P as of January 31, 2013, and 850 customers at United Illuminating.
