Stand Energy Receives Electric Supplier License

The Public Utilities Commission of Ohio granted Stand Energy Corporation a retail electric supplier license to serve commercial, mercantile, and industrial customers in all service areas. As first reported by Matters, the Ohio application was Stand Energy Corporation's first to provide retail electric service in any state.

Texas REP Seeks to Change Name

Prier Energy Inc. has filed for an amendment to its Texas REP certificate to change the certificated name to American L&P, Co. Additionally, Prier Energy sought to add the trade names American LP and American XP to the certificate, in addition to the existing d/b/a of General Power & Light. As previously reported, PUCT recently approved the transfer of ownership and control of Prier Energy Inc. to General Light & Power, Inc.

Power Management Co. Seeks New License

Power Management Co., LLC applied for a Pennsylvania natural gas broker/marketer license to serve all sizes of non-residential customers in all service areas.
