A retail energy provider is offering customers free long distance telephone service for enrolling in energy service.

Specifically, Blue Pilot Energy is offering residential customers enrolling with the company free interstate and intrastate long distance minutes each month from affiliate Blue Pilot Telecom, depending upon how much the customer spends with Blue Pilot Energy, as follows:

• Spend $100-$199 with Blue Pilot Energy and receive 250 free minutes from Blue Pilot Telecom

• Spend $200-$299 with Blue Pilot Energy and receive 500 free minutes from Blue Pilot Telecom

• Spend $300 or more with Blue Pilot Energy and receive 750 free minutes from Blue Pilot Telecom

The customer must switch long distance service to Blue Pilot Telecom in order to be eligible for free long distance minutes. If the customer exceeds their free minute allotment during a month, excess domestic long distance will be charged at a rate of 3.9 cents per minute

Other promotions offered by Blue Pilot Energy include providing customers with a free website created and hosted by an affiliate company, iVenue.com. Specifically, website creation (a $2,000 value) and monthly hosting ($99 per month) are provided at no charge as long as the customer maintains active service with Blue Pilot Energy.

Additionally, customers who switch to Blue Pilot Energy are automatically entered into a sweepstakes to win a Chevrolet Volt after 12 months of continuous service. Blue Pilot also conducts a monthly sweepstakes with a prize of $1,000, with customers automatically entered after six months of service.
