Maryland Sets New Electric, Gas Purchase of Receivables Discount Rates

The Maryland PSC has established new purchases of receivables discount rates for several electric and natural gas utilities, with the new discounts starting June 1.
With respect to Baltimore Gas & Electric's discount rates, the PSC maintained revenues from late payment charges as an offset to uncollectibles. Additionally, the PSC removed the customer list component from the discount rate, which had been a negative discount component under the most recent update.
For BGE electric service, the residential discount rate was set at 0.1352%.
For all BGE electric non-residential classes, the new POR discount rates are zero.
For natural gas, BGE's residential discount rate was set at 1.8047%. The non-residential gas discount was set at 0%.
For the remaining utilities, the new discount rates are as follows:
Pepco Residential: 0.2543% Type I: 0.2704% Type II: 0% Hourly: 0.6280% Delmarva Residential: 0% Type I: 0% Type II: 0.1987% Hourly: 0% Potomac Edison Residential: 0.0772% Type I: 0% Type II: 0.1825% Hourly: 0%
