The Maryland PSC has issued a show cause order to Starion Energy regarding Starion Energy's disclosures of customer contracts.
Specifically, the Commission will review differences between Starion Energy's disclosure statement used in door-to-door marketing and the disclosure statement posted online, to ensure appropriate copies were provided to customers at enrollment.
The show cause order specifically directs Starion to answer several questions from the PSC.
Further, Starion Energy is directed to show cause, "why the Commission should not find that the Company violated any statute, regulation, or Commission Order in its customer marketing, advertising, or trade practices."
Additionally, Starion Energy is directed to show cause, "why the Commission should not impose civil penalties and/or suspend or revoke the Company’s license to supply electricity in Maryland should the Commission determine that the Company violated any statutes, regulation, or Commission Order in its customer marketing, advertising, or trade practices."
