PECO, PPL Continue to Lose Residential Shoppers

PECO and PPL continue to experience a decline in residential shopping, according to the latest stats from the Pennsylvania PUC.

Both utilities had been seeing a decline in residential shopping for most of June.

From about June 19 to about June 26 (report date varies slightly by utility), the weekly growth (loss) in residential electric customers on competitive supply at each EDC was:

Duquesne Light          180
Met-Ed                1,290
PECO                   (347)
Penelec                 374
Penn Power               17
PPL                    (196)
West Penn Power         306
