The Pennsylvania PUC's PAPowerSwitch.com rate board has launched a new design and new features.

Notably, multiple rates from each supplier may now be listed in the main chart. Previously, while suppliers could list more than one product, only one rate appeared in the sortable main chart, with remaining offers relegated to the additional information section under the supplier's main rate, which required the customer to click a link to open.

Additionally, more informational fields have been added, and customers may now filter their search by new and existing fields.

Notable new fields include:

• Prepaid Energy Services

• No Deposit Required

• Energy Efficient and Conservation Plans

• Net Metering

The site also includes "Price with Pass-Through Clause" as an option, a definition still being debated at the PUC.

Aside from sorting by price, the site now also includes a "slider" tool allowing the customer to filter prices by inputting a maximum price (and, if desired, a minimum price), similar in operation to sliders on airfare comparison sites.
