Resident Power said that it will be expanding its electric aggregation services to Rhode Island.
The company recently submitted a license application to the Rhode Island PUC.
Once approved, Resident Power plans to launch an "aggressive" media campaign educating Rhode Island customers on the benefits of electricity deregulation and the ability to choose an alternative to the utility.
"Our management team has been involved in the growth and expansion of the Connecticut, Maine and New Hampshire residential electricity markets and now it is time to bring serious competitive choice to Rhode Island, as well," said Managing Director Bart Fromuth.
