A subsidiary of Carbnfoot, Inc., a Canadian carbon credit marketing company which is launching a retail energy supplier in the United States, has submitted an application for a retail electric supplier license in Ohio.

Specifically, Utility Bid USA, LLC d/b/a Rate Buster Energy applied for an Ohio electric supplier license to serve all customer classes in all service areas. The Ohio license appears to be the first sought in the U.S. by Utility Bid USA (not all license applications are public; however, the Ohio application makes no reference to any pending applications and only references the previously reported FERC market-based rate authority).

Carbnfoot's expansion into the United States retail energy market had been first reported by EnergyChoiceMatters.com

Utility Bid USA has indicated that it will serve both retail electric and natural gas customers in the U.S.

As previously reported, Utility Bid USA is affiliated with Canadian retail supplier Blue Power Distributed Energy Corp.

John Nassar is the president of Utility Bid USA.
