Dominion Retail Launches New Direct Mail Campaign for Guaranteed Savings Offer

Dominion Energy Solutions is now offering a residential electric plan at Fitchburg Gas & Electric (Unitil) in Massachusetts with a rate that is guaranteed to be lower than the default service rate through May 2014.

Specifically, through November 2013, Dominion Retail's plan includes a fixed price of 7.75¢ per kilowatt-hour. In comparison, the Unitil fixed default service rate for this period is 7.851¢ per kilowatt-hour (the variable default rate option is also 7.851¢ for each month of the June through November 2013 term).

For the period December 1, 2013 through May 31, 2014, the final Dominion Retail rate has not yet been set, but it is guaranteed to be lower than Unitil's default service rate.

Beginning December 1, 2013 Unitil's default service rates will change, and if the new rates are lower than 7.75¢ per kWh, Dominion Energy Solutions will offer a price lower than the new utility rate through May 2014. Specifically, the price that the customer pays after the scheduled November 2013 meter read date through the scheduled May 2014 meter read date is guaranteed to be at least 0.1¢ per kWh lower than the applicable Unitil price to compare.

There is no early termination fee.

Dominion Retail is supporting the offer with a direct mail campaign.

Dominion Energy Solutions has sold electricity under the Massachusetts choice program since 2001 and currently has more than 100,000 customers in the state.
