TXU Launches Refer-a-Friend Program with Unlimited Earning Potential

TXU Energy has launched a new referral program which does not limit the amount paid to the referring customer.

For each qualified friend who signs up online through the TXU Energy Refer-a-Friend web page, the existing customer and the new customer both get a $50 prepaid card.

An upfront payment of $25-$50 is typical among non-MLM referral programs offered by Texas REPs. Some plans include residuals or other rewards in addition to an upfront payment.

Just Energy offers $100 upfront for customer referrals, Direct Energy offers $60.

TXU Energy distinguishes its program by not capping the amount that can be earned by the referring customer. However, to earn more than $599 per calendar year, the submission of a W-9 form is required.

TXU said, "With TXU Energy Refer-a-Friend, existing customers can log in to their TXU Energy MyAccount and easily refer all of their friends through email, Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn or cards that can be printed and handed out. Referrals have a specific code to ensure customers get the credit they deserve."
