Pennsylvania C&I Supplier Expands to Residential Market with Offer at PPL

A retail supplier has newly begun offering residential service at PPL.
Specifically, Energy Cooperative of America has begun serving the residential market, with its initial residential offer in the PPL Electric service area.
At PPL, Energy Cooperative of America is offering residential customers a monthly variable rate currently priced at 7.893¢ per kWh
Energy Cooperative of America, formerly known as Energy Cooperative of New York, Inc., has been active in the Pennsylvania non-residential market for some time, but as first reported by EnergyChoiceMatters.com, recently received an expanded electric supplier license to include service at PPL, PECO, Met-Ed, Penelec, and West Penn Power.
According to its website, Energy Cooperative of America also offers residential service in New York at NiMo, NYSEG, and RG&E for electricity, and at NYSEG, RG&E and National Fuel Gas Distribution for natural gas.
