Several New York ESCOs Offering Service for 3¢/kWh

Several ESCOs in New York are currently offering residential electric service for about 3¢/kWh.

Specifically, in the far west portion of the Niagara Mohawk service area, (Zone A, zip 14201), FTR Energy Services, LLC is offering a variable rate with an introductory price of 3.65¢/kWh. While this 3¢ rate is introductory, FTR Energy Services said that its current variable rate is 4.06¢/kWh.

Additionally, in the far west portion of the NYSEG service area, (Zone A, zip 14075), Ambit Energy is offering a variable rate with an introductory price of 3.53497¢/kWh. While this 3¢ rate is introductory, Ambit says that the product includes guaranteed savings of 7% for the first two months and at least 1% versus the incumbent price for the first year.
