Direct Energy Offering "Free Nights" Plan, Also Offering Half-Off Weekends

Direct Energy is offering a "Free Power Nights" electricity plan for residential customers at PPL.

Under Free Power Nights, there are no electricity supply charges for usage from 7 p.m. to 10:59 p.m. every day of the week. Local utility taxes and distribution charges based on usage still apply.

In all other hours, Direct Energy's supply charge under the plan is 10.89¢/kWh, fixed for 12 months. There is no early termination fee.

Additionally, for residential customers at PPL, Direct Energy is offering a Half-Off Weekends plan, under which the supply charge is 4.80¢/kWh for all weekend usage (all hours Saturday and Sunday), and 9.60¢/kWh for usage during all other times. Each respective rate is fixed for 12 months, and there is no early termination fee.

These offerings supplement Direct Energy's previously launched Free Power Day plan (no supply charge for usage during all hours of a day selected by the customer) and Best Hourly Rate Plan (which is a 12-month Time of Use product with two tiers).
