Retail Supplier Launches Direct Mail Campaign in Response to Nearly 40% Spike in National Grid SOS Rate

Dominion Retail d/b/a Dominion Energy Solutions has launched a new direct mail offer for residential electricity customers at National Grid in Massachusetts, noting the recent nearly 40% increase in the utility's basic service rate.
Dominion Retail said that the current National Grid Price to Compare is 10.025¢ per kWh, a price increase of 38% versus the Price to Compare of 7.251¢ per kWh in effect from May 1, 2013 to October 31, 2013.
Dominion Retail is offering Massachusetts residential customers at National Grid a price of 8.99¢ per kWh fixed through the customer's November 2014 meter read date. There is no early cancellation fee.
The direct mail offer is limited to the first 5,000 residential customers who enroll by December 10, 2013.
The direct mail offer encourages customers to, "[j]oin more than 200,000 Massachusetts residents who have selected Dominion Energy Solutions."
