ERCOT Files 4CP Report

ERCOT filed with the Public Utility Commission of Texas its report on the monthly coincident peak (4CP) Loads in the ERCOT system for the months of June, July, August and September 2013 (2013 4CP Report). The 4CP dates were June 27, July 31, August 7, and September 3. The report, including load by TDSP, is accessible in Docket 27706 (click here).

Texas Sets REP Deposit Interest Rates

The Public Utilities Commission of Texas has adopted final interest rates for customer deposits for the year 2014. The PUCT set the 2014 customer deposit interest rate at 0.09 percent, versus the current 0.12 percent. The Commission also set the interest rate for calendar year 2014 for overbillings and certain underbillings at 0.15 percent, versus the current 0.21 percent. Docket 41094

PPL Generation Begins Commercial Operation at 125-MW Plant

PPL Holtwood announced completion of a new, 125-megawatt powerhouse at its Holtwood hydroelectric facility along the Susquehanna River in south-central Pennsylvania. The new powerhouse sits adjacent to the century-old powerhouse and more than doubles the plant's generating capacity from about 108 megawatts to more than 230 megawatts.
