Mega Energy Tabs ERCOT, Retail Market Veteran as New Director of Supply, Seeks License in New State

Mega Energy recently hired a veteran of the ERCOT market as Director of Supply, it disclosed in seeking a retail electric license in a new state.

Specifically, James Malick joined Mega Energy as Director of Supply in October 2013. Most recently, Malick had served as Director of Fuel Supply for Bounce Energy, responsible for customer loads in ERCOT as well as PJM and NYISO.

Previously, Malick held positions in mid-marketing & origination, cash trading, and power trading focusing on the ERCOT market at Eagle Energy Partners L.P., Lehman Brothers, and EdF Trading. Malick has also held positions as a power trader and power scheduler, focusing on the ERCOT market and neighboring regions, at Direct Energy, The Energy Authority, ACES Power Marketing, and APX.

Mega Energy of New Hampshire, LLC has applied for a New Hampshire electric supplier license. Mega Energy said that it plans to serve residential and small commercial customers in the Public Service Company of New Hampshire territory.

Various Mega Energy subsidiaries are active retail electric suppliers in the Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Maine markets.
