Massachusetts Utility Reports Discounts for POR Program

Fitchburg Gas and Electric Light Company, d/b/a Unitil has filed with the Massachusetts DPU certain components of its proposed POR discount rate.

Although Unitil had previously described the mechanisms of a stipulated solution to POR in its service territory, it had not previously filed a discount rate associated with such stipulated design.

The uncollectible percentage under Unitil's proposed POR plan would be 3.61% for residential customers, and 0.86% for small & regular general delivery (non-residential) customers. This uncollectibles discount would be the same for existing and new receivables.
