New York Sets Date for ESCO EDI Collaborative

The New York PSC scheduled for March 24 a collaborative to assist in implementing modifications to the current electronic data interchange (EDI) standards. The purpose of this collaborative is to identify what EDI standards must be modified to effectuate the new requirements identified in the PSC's recent retail markets order (click here for details)

ERCOT Issues Final Report on January 6 Energy Emergency Alert Event

ERCOT issued a final report on the January 6, 2014 Energy Emergency Alert (EEA Event). The report concludes that, "The fact that a similar high peak was observed on January 7th, 2014 with sufficient reserves and no EEA, supports that the main contributing cause was the substantial amount of resource capacity lost through trips, derates, and failure to starts."
