Taking another page from an established Bounce Energy strategy, Direct Energy is now promoting home security services to new customers in Texas.

Specifically, at enrollment, new Direct Energy residential customers in Texas are invited to sign up to receive more information about Home Security Services from Protect America.

Direct Energy notes that Home Security Services plans start at $29.99/mo.

Bounce Energy, now part of Direct Energy, has previously cross-sold home security services, but this is the first time we have encountered such promotion under the Direct Energy brand.

Also at enrollment, Direct Energy invites customers to sign up to receive more info about DirecTV, with three free months of HBO, STARZ, Showtime, and Cinemax, and $5 off the first DirecTV bill.

As only reported by EnergyChoiceMatters.com last month, Direct Energy is expected to launch in Texas a branded product formally bundling DirecTV with electric supply in the near future.
