Update: New Leaf Energy Also Offering $400 for Enrollments

Direct Energy issued a news release yesterday concerning its $400 incentive for Texas customer enrollments, which had been first reported by EnergyChoiceMatters.com.
Aside from Direct Energy, the $400 incentive is also being offered to new customers at New Leaf Energy, both packaged with a 24-month contract.
Direct's Bounce Energy and First Choice Power brands are offering a choice of gift cards for $150 with a 12-month signed contract agreement.
On day of the bankruptcy filing of the parent of TXU Energy, Direct Energy's news release included the following quote:
"Texas customers can rely on Direct Energy to be their trusted, reliable, and secure power company for decades to come," said David Hindman, Vice President and General Manager, Direct Energy Residential.
