TXU Parent Sees Essentially Flat Residential Churn Through First Quarter of 2014

Net residential customer churn at Energy Future Holdings, the parent of TXU Energy, was essentially flat during the period December 31, 2013 to March 31, 2014, EFH reported in a 10-Q filed yesterday
Collectively, EFH's retail suppliers were serving 1.506 million residential customers as of March 31, 2014, versus 1.516 million as of December 31, 2013, and 1.546 million a year ago.
The net loss of 10,000 residential customers from December 31, 2013 to March 31, 2014 is marginally higher than the net loss of 8,000 residential customers from September 30, 2013 to December 31, 2013.
EFH retail companies were serving 173,000 small business meters (< 1 MW) as of March 31, 2014, down from 176,000 as of December 31, 2013 and a year ago. The net loss of 3,000 small business meters compares to what had been a steady small business customer count from September 30, 2013 to December 31, 2013.
EFH retail companies were serving 17,000 large business meters as of March 31, 2014, which was even with the total as of December 31, 2013, and compares to 18,000 a year ago.
Total EFH retail customer count was 1.696 million as of March 31, 2014, versus 1.709 million meters as of December 31, 2013, and 1.740 million a year ago.
